SUMMARY:EmpowHERment Hosted By New Mexico Black Central Organizing Committee
DESCRIPTION:EmpowHERment Day is a symposium for black girls and girls of color. Continental Breakfast and Lunch will be provided at the African-American Performing Arts center for participants. Mini-seminars will be given throughout the day to honor and celebrate black girlhood and black culture. There will be seminars on the Black Education Act and the Race-Based Hair Discrimination laws in New Mexico. There will also be fun activities during the day and each participant will receive a goodie bag with products made by black-owned businesses.\n \n  \nThere are 40 spots available! For ages 11 – 13 years old. The registration deadline is April 4\, 2022.
